Terms & Conditions
Prices
Unless specifically stated otherwise, ALL prices are quoted in Canadian dollars, based on F.O.B. Spina’s Steel plant, Brampton, Ontario, and are firm for acceptance within thirty (30) days. Charges for transportation, duty, customs brokerage and applicable taxes are extra.
Terms
Net 30 days, on approved credit. Initial orders MAY be subject to C.O.D. conditions, until approved credit is established.
Payment Holdback
All quotations are rendered by Spina’s Steel as Manufacturer and/or supplier, and not as a Contractor or Subcontractor. Accordingly, our quotation submission are presented with the understanding that resulting orders will not be subject to any form of payment holdback provisions that may constitute a condition of the original documentation for the project, in question. Payment terms are NET 30 DAYS.
Shipment/Storage
Spina’s Steel must ship manufactured goods within thirty (30) days of their completion date. Shipments that are delayed, at the customer’s request, will be invoiced as if shipped, and MAY also be subject to storage charges. Goods that are delivered, but are not installed immediately after receipt, MUST be unwrapped and stored in a secure above ground location. Claims for finish damage will not be considered, without acceptance proof that these instructions were followed.
Warranty
All products are carefully inspected prior to shipping. Spina’s Steel Workers Co., Ltd. warrants all goods to be free from defects, in materials and workmanship, for a period of one (1) year from date of shipment. Upon receipt of proper notification of defect, Spina’s Steel will endeavour to repair or replace defective materials, at our option. Charges for unauthorized repairs, performed by others, will not be honoured.
Quality Control
Goods are inspected throughout the manufacturing process, and prior to shipping. Defect in workmanship or materials MUST be reported to Spina’s Steel WITHIN FIVE (5) CALENDAR DAYS of receipt of goods.
Galvanized And Powder Coated
Poles come with a 10 year warranty against rust under normal environmental conditions. (Note: Galvanized finish may show a slightly textured finish and a visible seam line due to galvanizing run off)
Damaged Goods
All claims for loss or damaged goods must be filed directly with the carrier, by the purchaser. A copy may be sent to Spina Steel for our information only.
Care and Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance is the responsibility of the owner. Proper care and maintenance should include initial inspections and subsequent yearly inspections for structural damage, including impact damage, weld failure, missing or loose bolts and nuts, coating damage or excessive corrosion.
Title
Title of goods shall remain in the name of Spina’s Steel Workers Co., Ltd., and shall not pass to the purchaser, unless and until the FULL purchase price, as shown on the invoice, is paid.
